IronCLaDD Golf is more than instruction—it’s where your drive is refined, helping golfers at every level elevate their game and the mindset that carries into life beyond the course.

Our Vision

IronCLaDD Golf’s vision is to make golf accessible for business professionals with a focus on utilizing golf for career enhancement and client development. In our program, you will gain the competence and confidence that allows you to utilize golf socially to develop business opportunities.

Our Mission

To provide a comprehensive, tiered coaching system that empowers beginner, intermediate, and expert golfers to achieve their optimal performance on the golf course through targeted instruction, mental conditioning, and strategic career planning.

Cedric’s coaching is available for individuals and groups. Ready to take your philanthropy to the next level? The Business, Philanthropy & Golf Workshop brings these three areas together to help you build meaningful connections, create opportunities, and make a greater impact.

ABOUT CEDRIC DAVIS

I did not grow up with material wealth but I did have the great fortune of growing up with a public golf course in my neighborhood. In the sixth grade, my best friend mentioned an opportunity to learn about caddying at West Seattle Golf Course under Thaddeus Gray, the first Black PGA Golf Professional in the Pacific NW.

On weekends and school breaks, my friends and I would meet each other in the Men’s locker room on weekend mornings awaiting an opportunity to caddy for the local golfers.

Our parents were attracted by the opportunity to qualify for the Evan’s Caddie Scholarship, but we were attracted by the chance to carry a bag and make some spending money (fee + tip) for the week ahead. While we waited for a bag to carry, Thaddeus and other golf pros would provide us with little caddying tips, golf instruction, and share their knowledge on the game. The more we practiced, the more eager we were to test out our newfound skills on the golf course. After months of pleading with the head pro Marty O’Brien – and on a day when the rain was so bad that no one else was on the golf course – we were finally given the opportunity to play a round together. It was on that day that I was hooked on golf and began to see a future for myself in it.

Through middle and high school, I continued to improve, playing competitively for Chief Sealth High School, Washington Junior Golf Association, American Junior Golf Association, Fir State Golf Association, Western States Golf Association, and the United States Golf Association. Eventually earning a golf scholarship at Southern University and A&M College and the opportunity to compete at the collegiate level. Among my accolades, my most significant accomplishments during that period include medaling in three conference invitationals (SWAC AL, SWAC LA, and SWAC TX), being named a Coaches’ 1st Team All-American for three consecutive years (1992-94), and being inducted into Southern University’s Sports Hall of Fame Class of 2019.

Following college, I pursued a career in business and held roles across the for-profit, nonprofit and philanthropic sectors in customer service operations, sales, marketing, and program management. These roles provided me with the opportunity to leverage golf for developing both relationships and business opportunities.

Now, my commitment is to share with others the game that has been so beneficial to me.
